Why we exist
One workshop instead of three appointments
Most car problems arrive in threes. The service is due, a kerbed alloy has scuffed a tyre sidewall, and there is a dent in the rear door from a shopping centre carpark. Booked separately that is three drop-offs, three phone numbers and three weeks of borrowing lifts.
Dandenong Auto Works has traded from Frankston-Dandenong Road since 2009 and runs servicing, mechanical repair, panel and paint, tyre fitting, detailing and window tinting from the same address. The mechanic who spots a weeping rear shock while the car is on the hoist can walk twenty metres and tell the panel technician about the door before either of them starts.
That matters more than it sounds. Overlapping work gets sequenced properly: wheels that are already off for brakes stay off for the tyre change, the alignment happens after the suspension repair rather than before it, and paint cures before the detailer touches it. You collect one car, once, with every reading and stamp recorded against the same job.

What the one-site model actually changes
Four things you notice when a car is not passed between three businesses.
One job number per car
Servicing, panel, tyre and tint work all sit against the same job. When you ring to ask where the car is, one person can answer for all of it.
Work sequenced, not repeated
Wheels already off for a brake job do not come off twice. An alignment is done after the worn control arm bush is replaced, which is the only order in which the readings mean anything.
Faults quoted, not guessed
A fault code names a circuit, not a part. We test the circuit and quote the repair once we know what failed, so you are not paying to replace parts in order of likelihood.
Readings handed to you
Chassis measurements, paint thickness in microns, brake rotor thickness and window light-transmission figures get written down and go home with the car.

Tell us the car and the job
Book online, message on WhatsApp or ring the workshop. We want make, model, build year and rego or VIN, because European parts are often looked up by VIN rather than by model.

We confirm the slot and the plan
You get a drop-off time, what we expect to do, and anything we cannot be certain about until the car is on the hoist. That gets said before the date is locked in, not on the morning.

The car is inspected before work starts
Fluids, tyres, brakes and any existing damage are recorded when the car arrives. If we find something you did not ask about, you get a call before we touch it.

Collection with the paperwork
The log book is stamped, the readings are attached, and old parts stay in a box for you to see. One car, one collection trip.

Yes, and it is the reason the workshop is laid out this way. A service and a set of tyres, or a paint repair and a detail, are sequenced into one booking. Tell us both jobs when you book so the right amount of bay time is set aside.
Yes, and it is worth doing. Panel work often leaves the car with us for several days, which is the ideal window to do a service that is due or fit tyres. The insurance repair and anything you are paying for yourself are quoted and settled separately, on the same job number.
Make, model, build year, rego and the current odometer reading, plus the VIN if you can find it. For panel work, photographs from a few angles and one straight-on shot. For tint, whether the rear glass is already dark from the factory.
Monday to Friday 7:30 to 17:30, and Saturday 8:00 to 14:00. Closed Sunday and public holidays. If none of that fits your shift, ask about the after-hours key drop when you book.
Yes, unless you tell us not to. Whatever comes off the car goes in a box and stays there until you collect, which is the simplest way to confirm that what was quoted is what was done. Old tyres and used fluids are the exception, since those go straight to recycling.
